An illustration from Tom Seidmann-Freud’s 1924 Buch Der Hasengeschichten (Book of Hare Stories), a collection for children of bunnycentric folktales from around the world. (Seidmann-Freud's uncle was, in fact, the famous Freud, and took on the masculine name Tom and began wearing men's clothing around the age of 15.
